About

This blog is about feeding myself. After spending too many years depriving myself and watching my body and my world get smaller and smaller, I want nothing more than to embrace everything, taste everything, and do it all with no fear. Today, I am a work in progress; I eat every day for my job- a test cook for Cook’s Country magazine- I eat every night for pleasure; I cook, drink, read, write, travel whenever I can, and generally do my best to take it all in. For me, this blog is a place to share my analytical yet playful approach to life, and to engage with everything and everyone possible. It is also an homage to my journey up to this point— the last 27 years may only be a drop in the bucket, but they’ve made me who I am: salty, spicy, bittersweet, and better seasoned every day.
